Visit to The Grange

On the 25th September 2013 The Master had the pleasure of visiting The Grange, one of The Broderers' supported charities.

From the photograph you will see the Master Broderer, Peter Lumley, on the left; next to him is Sally Reynolds the new Chief Executive, on her left is Master Constructor followed by Master Wax Chandler and Prime Warden of the Blacksmiths on the right-hand side.  Also attending was a Trustee of the Wheelwrights Charity Trust and the Clerk of the Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

The Master with Liveryman Liz Elvin, Trustees of the Broderers Charity Trust and Liveryman Ian Bellinger, Chairman of the Trustees.

During the day these visitors saw some of the living accommodation of the “clients” together with the woodwork shop, textiles department (which has a number of electronic sewing machines donoted by the Broderers), the walled garden and apiary as well as other working areas of The Grange.

Whilst at The Grange the Master Broderer, Peter Lumley, took the opportunity to present the Chief Executive of The Grange, Sally Reynolds, with a cheque for £3,000 for the textile department.
